ADAMSON: NO to Deregulation of Canada Post

To Panel Members of the Canada Post Strategic Review:

I am writing to demand that our public post office not be de-regulated, and that Canada Post maintain its exclusive privilege to handle addressed letters.

We have a good system going in Canada. Why in hell would you and the Government try to wreck it with your damnable deregulation? Why is Harper so intent on wrecking the institutions built up here in Canada and giving everything over to a USA system and a USA dominance? (The Patriot Act and all the stupid malarky!)

I am concerned that the review of our public post office does not include public hearings.

It is the worst form of manipulation to have this issue handed over to a Panel of three persons. And it is even more outrageous to have a survey done over the summer vacation months. The manipulation is so transparent that it is pathetic!

There is no good reason to change the mechanism that funds universal postal service. Our postal services are universal and affordable, no small accomplishment in the second largest country in the world.!

Knock off the maneuvering for deregulation and privatization and the give-away of our Canadian system and culture.

Yours truly,

Dr. Bill Adamson
