TRITIUM: GET THE FACTS!!

Background -

Tritium is radioactive hydrogen.

It has always been present in the environment in small and relatively constant amounts as the result of cosmic radiation from outer space.

The amount of tritium in the environment increased alarmingly as a result of atmospheric testing of nuclear weapons in the mid-twentieth century.

Nuclear reactors (both fission and fusion) produce large amounts of human-made tritium. Some of that spills into the air and into nearby water bodies routinely, and much larger amounts are accumulated inside the plant.

It is convenient for the industry to simply dump this radioactive waste byproduct into the environment while publicly denying or downplaying the harmful effects.
