Join us on Oct. 22 to hear the firsthand experiences of Dr. Deirdre Nunan, a Saskatchewan-trained orthopaedic surgeon who has spent much of the past decade working in international humanitarian contexts. She has spent nearly two years working in Gaza, including on three occasions during the past year. She recently returned from working at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, Gaza. When in Canada, she works in Moose Jaw.
Admission is free. No registration required.

This event promises to be an engaging and informative session on how to best support 2SLGBTQIA+ youth in schools and is intended for all teachers, pre-service teachers, education support staff, parents/families, and other education community members more broadly, along with University of Regina community members.
The event will include a moderated panel discussion (Thursday, October 30 5:30 pm - 7:15 pm) with Dr. Elizabeth Meyer (Colorado; author of Queer Justice at School: A Guide for Youth Activists, Allies, and Their Teachers), Dr. Qui Alexander (OISE), and Madelaine Enns (Indigenous Teachers for Two-Spirit Youth), followed by a reception (7:30 pm - 8:30 pm).
