WHITE POPPIES FOR PEACE
As Remembrance Day (November 11) approaches, please consider wearing a White Poppy:
To commemorate all victims of war
To mourn the environmental devastation it causes
To reject war as a tool for social change
To call for dialog and peaceful conflict resolution
To show your commitment to building better future
Because Remembering is important, but it isn’t enough.

If you only want 1 or 2 white poppies: They are available on the table on my veranda. Please drop by and pick them up, along with safety pins and “To Remember Is To Work For Peace” buttons: 2818-19th Ave.

If you want more than 2, please let me know and I’ll prepare a little package for you.

WEDNESDAY OCTOBER 29, 7 pm: REPORT BACK FROM PEACE CONFERENCE IN CHINA, BY REGINA PEACE COUNCIL MEMBER MATT GEHL, SENIOR CENTRE, 2404 ELPHINSTONE ST
In September Matt Gehl represented the Regina Peace Council at an international peace conference in China commemorating the 80th Anniversary of the Chinese people's war of resistance against Japanese aggression and the end of the global anti-fascist war. Matt also toured China at the invitation of the Chinese People's Association for Peace and Disarmament.
