EVENTS, WEBINARS, TV PROGRAMS, & FILMS:
SUNDAY AUGUST 25 – TUESDAY AUGUST 27: CRUSHED—AN ART INSTALLATION ON CLIMATE ANXIETY, FIFTH PARALLEL GALLERY, UNIVERSITY OF REGINA
Hours: Tues/Thurs/Sat/Mon 2-6; Wed 5-9
Reception: 5:00-6:30 August 27th
Crushed is an art installation on the topic of climate anxiety. Amy Snider's MFA Graduating Exhibition is a full disclosure of her own distress over the state of the environment due to the climate crisis. Through this work, she shows others that such feelings are legitimate and shared. She works towards de-stigmatizing this topic, believing that we need everyone who cares to be able to say. Connecting with others and taking action together are the two best means of staving off despair, as Amy has experienced herself.
