We are honored to announce that the first-ever Palestinian flag-raising ceremony in Regina, SK will take place on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 9:00-12:00 AM in front of City Hall, 2476 Victoria Ave. This ceremony is an opportunity for us to show our solidarity with our brothers and sisters who are suffering in Gaza and Palestine. It is a small but meaningful act to support those enduring hardship, and we encourage everyone to join us in standing together for justice and peace. Thanks so much and we hope to see you there. Made over the course of five years, TOMORROW’S FREEDOM gains intimate access to the family of imprisoned Palestinian political leader Marwan Barghouthi. Through the Barghouthi family and in-depth interviews with the people who know Marwan best, Tomorrow’s Freedom takes you on a brutally honest and transformative journey into the heart of the occupation.
The film will be introduced by Melanie Rose, a Regina-based artist and educator with family in Israel's prison.
The film screening is hosted by Palestine Solidarity Regina and is not a Regina Public Library event. Admission is by donation.

Now, leading scientists are finding these particles in our bodies: organs, blood, brain tissue, and even the placentas of new mothers. What is the impact of these invisible invaders on our health? And can anything be done about it?
Acclaimed author and science journalist Ziya Tong takes a personal approach by visiting leading scientists around the world and undergoing experiments in her home, on her food, and her body while collaborating with award-winning director Ben Addelman in an urgent call to action for all of us to rethink our relationship with plastic.
