Marc-André Blanchard is a Canadian lawyer and diplomat, who was named as the Permanent Representative of Canada to the United Nations in January 2016.[1]
Prior to his appointment, Blanchard was chairman and CEO of McCarthy Tétrault, one of Canada's largest and most prominent law firms,[2] and a former president of the Quebec Liberal Party.[3]
He served on Justin Trudeau's transition team following the 2015 election.[1]
