The U.S. is a nation where due process and the rule of law have been tossed aside. An emboldened president is now vowing to troll through the social media accounts of 55 million VISA holders as part of a "continuous vetting" regime of surveillance.

He will be able to count on the backing of tech bros like surveillance king Peter Thiel, a billionaire who has made no secret of his disdain for both multiculturalism and democracy.

And backing Trump up is a private army of men with masks and guns.

Is anyone still naïve enough to think that the more than 150 Canadians now being held won't explode into thousands being kidnapped?

And yet Global Affairs Canada's travel warning for the United States says nothing more than “take normal security precautions.”
