Is it possible for the government of Canada and the political parties in Parliament to back away from the paranoia* surrounding two recent killings of military members?

The reality is that both of this week’s killings were carried out by lone, misguided and disorientated individuals. All reports indicate that they were not members of a “homegrown” anti-government group, let alone of a foreign terrorist organization. Even the official security people and the RCMP recognize this, and said so in public.

Isn't there anyone in parliament who will state these simple, obvious facts?

Really, we don't need any more exaggerated tightening up of security and attacks on human rights.

*Paranoia - groundless fear.
