The Overnighters is feature documentary directed by Jesse Moss. The film premiered in the US Documentary Competition at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, where it was awarded the Special Jury Prize for Intuitive Filmmaking.
Other prizes include the Golden Gate Award for Best Feature Documentary at the San Francisco International Film Festival, the Grand Jury Prize at the Miami International Film Festival, and the Inspiration Award at the Full Frame Documentary Film Festival.
The Overnighters will be released theatrically by Drafthouse Films in Fall 2014.
Desperate, broken men chase their dreams and run from their demons in the North Dakota oil fields. A local Pastor risks everything to help them.
