The Eat Well Guide: Wholesome Food from Healthy Animals

info@eatwellguide.org

The Eat Well Guide is a free, online directory of sustainably raised meat, poultry, dairy and eggs from farms, stores, restaurants, inns and hotels, and online outlets in the US and Canada. Consumers simply enter their zip or postal code to find local products that were raised sustainably, including no antibiotics, no added hormones, pasture-raised, grass-fed and organic. Scores of new listings are being added on a continual basis.
The Eat Well Guide is more than just a search engine. The creators have collaborated with numerous organizations on a local and national level to connect consumers with groups that promote sustainable food and farming.

The notebook feature of the guide allows people to create a more personalized shopping list. After a consumer enters his/her zip code, the amount of farms, stores and online outlets returned could be overwhelming. Once consumers sign up for a notebook, they can save their favorite outlets and organize their listings. They also have the ability to add and delete items as they desire. Registry for the notebook is entirely free of charge.

Once visitors register, they have the option to receive periodic updates about new stores or farms that have been added in their area. They can also choose to receive the Sustainable Table newsletter, "The Pasture Post."

We would like to thank all of the people who have contacted us to let us know about their favorite places to buy great meat, dairy and eggs. Without all of you, such a dynamic resource wouldn't be possible! Read the testimonials page to learn what people are saying about us!

Before you suggest a listing, please note that the Eat Well Guide only lists outlets that provide some type of sustainably-raised meat, poultry, dairy, and/or egg product. We do not presently list vegetarian outlets or farms that only raise produce and/or specialty products.

At some point, the Eat Well Guide may expand to include producers of all sustainable and organic food, but, for the time being, it is strictly a directory for consumers hoping to find sustainably-raised animal products. For a full explanation as to why the Eat Well Guide only focuses on animal products, please consult the Frequently Asked Questions section at: http://www.eatwellguide.org/faq.cfm

To suggest a listing you can…

1. Email us at: info@eatwellguide.org

We're always looking for new farms, stores, restaurants, online shopping resources, and inns and hotels across the U.S. and Canada. If you know of one in your area and don't see it in the Eat Well Guide, email us to let us know.

Please note that all suggested entries must be approved by us before they are made visible online. You will not immediately see your suggested entry online when you complete the online form; we must review it first.
