WATCH: "Small-Scale Farmers Cool the Planet." (17 min.)

Our new 17-minute documentary highlights the role of industrial agriculture in climate change while expounding on how small-scale farmers are combating the climate crisis through regenerative organic agriculture.

Fair World Project political director, Ryan Zinn, explores both the devastating effects and causes of climate change while detailing the benefits of small farming practices for sequestering carbon and reversing climate change. The video skilfully combines conversations with food sovereignty activists, experts and luminaries such as Dr. Vandana Shiva, Coach Mark Smallwood of the Rodale Institute, and Ronnie Cummins of the Organic Consumers Association with footage of small-scale farmers at work around the world, and easy to follow animations explaining both the negative effects of industrial agriculture and the benefits of organic agriculture.

"Small-Scale Farmers Cool the Planet" provides a compelling and succinct analysis to better understand the root causes and implications of climate change, as well as a path towards turning back the climate crisis while feeding the planet. As Dr. Vandana Shiva comments in the film, "Too much of the movement to deal with climate change is based on fear. It now needs to move to cultivating hope."

Write a letter to the editor and educate your community: the time for climate action is now and supporting and safeguarding small-scale farmers is the way to do it.

Plant a seed: Personal action does have an impact and can connect you to the greater global movement.
