Back in 1969 when the Waffle Manifesto was written, climate change was not a topic of consideration. Now we find ourselves looking into the abyss of catastrophic consequences due to climate change and a plan is desperately needed!
Join us this Sunday for the next instalment of the Waffle Party as we discuss the future of resource economies in the age of climate change. The discussion will be led by U of R Professor Emily Eaton and federal NDP leadership candidate Avi Lewis. Please DM to reserve a spot!

MEMORIAL FOR THOSE WHO HAVE LOST THEIR LIVES TO HOMELESSNESS
This is the 10th year that Phoenix Residential has held a memorial for people who have died because they are unhoused. At this year’s memorial, held on February24, 133 names were read out. These were the names of people who had died over the 10 years since the memorial was started. Every year the list gets longer. At this year’s memorial, 15 names were read out for the first time. That’s 15 people who died in the last 12 months because they were unhoused.
Let’s all work to end houselessness in Regina so next year’s list won’t be any longer!
