Since our last rally at this location in December 2025, things are gotten even worse. More people in Regina are unhoused and many Sask Housing units remain empty. We will let the provincial government know that if, in the very near future, they don’t make all these empty Sask Housing units available for occupation, there will be further action.

SPECIAL ACTION: SAY ‘NO’ TO A SCAB CAMP AT COOP REFINERY
The Co-op Refinery Complex is asking the City and Regina City Council to approve a scab camp in the event of a breakdown in bargaining. Tell them NO.

As to be put on a list of interested parties if you want to participate in Regina Planning Commission and Council meetings when the time comes.
Right now this is just part of the technical public engagement process. Planning Commission and Council won't be formally involved at this time. That comes later.
In your comments make it clear where you stand in one short sentence ("I'm opposed to the Refinery's development application"). Then explain why. Commission and Council typically receives a summary of positions (in support, opposed, undecided, etc.) and their reasons ("health and safety", etc.). The on-line form makes this easy to do, so if you don't have time to write a lengthy response you can check a few boxes. Done.
Make no mistake: the Refinery is using this as leverage against the hard-working people who keep the complex running (represented by Unifor Local 594). Bargaining is ongoing. They are getting this process started now so a camp is approved and potentially operational if negotiations fall apart by 2027. Saskatchewan doesn't have anti-scab legislation, so this is the only public, political debate we'll have on the subject right now... unless our friends in the NDP and Sask Party wish to work on amending the Sask Employment Act.

There will also be a panel of speakers dealing with many topics including concentration of ownership of agricultural land, farmers' concerns regarding lack of drainage regulations, Indigenous land rights, data centres, the need to address the growing dependence on fossil fuels for our electrical grid, youth climate action, and more. All are welcome.
