There is little doubt that the current Climate Emergency has gotten the attention of human society around the world like no other previous environmental issue. Acid rain, toxic chemicals, collapse of major fisheries all pale in comparison. The issue is whether we can continue to build on this awareness and actually take effective action in time to prevent the worst case scenarios from taking place, and to expand this awareness to the other equally important issues associated with Overshoot (the expansion of the human economy beyond the carrying capacity of the environment).
