On November 4, on every continent, in big cities and on small islands, communities will stand together against the fossil fuel industry’s greed and lift up our vision for a just future powered by the sun and the wind. Together, we will join forces for a global day of action calling on world leaders to Power Up Climate Solution

This is a crucial moment to show the strength of our movement. Right before Power Up, the fossil fuel companies driving the climate crisis will publish another round of record-breaking profits. This day of action is also taking place days before world leaders gather for a crucial round of global climate talks.

We are taking to the streets because at this critical moment, as renewable energy becomes cheaper everyday, we need our political leaders to lead with the courage this moment demands. A transition to 100% renewable energy would help us tackle climate change while making life more affordable for people everywhere. Let’s demand a better future for ourselves and our planet.

Racism is a painful reality in Regina. Many groups are targeted; racism affects neighbours, colleagues, and family. We can reduce racism as active allies. Rhonda Rosenberg, longtime antiracism advocate and Kelsey Aitcheson, recognized for insightful Two-Eyed-Seeing, will engage participants in recognizing bias, racism, white dominant world views ... and offer alternatives. Be an ally that makes a difference! Identify strategies and practise new skills to dismantle racism at personal and systemic levels. Bring a friend. Hosted by the Unitarian Fellowship of Regina with facilitation by the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan. If you plan to attend online, experienced facilitators will be present.
