The City of Regina is currently undergoing a series of changes relating to the expansion of citywide housing options. This includes the removal of minimum parking requirements, increasing as-of-right development, and targeting density along main transit corridors.
Undergraduate students from GES 346 Urban Planning in the Department of Geography & Environmental Studies were tasked with unpacking what these changes mean in the context of targeted areas, what considerations need to be taken into account, and how we got to this point.
Please stop by the RIC Corridor on Thursday April 11, 11:30am - 12:30pm to hear some of their ideas!

The primary goal of the strike is to advocate for intersectional climate justice in Saskatchewan. The theme of the strike is "Climate Justice Now!" and its specific objectives include:

1. Keeping the global temperature rise below 1.5°C compared to pre-industrial levels.

2. Ensuring climate justice and equity for all.

3. Listening to the best-united science currently available.
