The Harper Conservatives will have to try every crooked type of promotion to stay in power, with their horrid record at economic development!! “Ole-Sly” would even stoop to gathering citizens' E-mail addresses through using a scheme to wish his wife a happy Mother’s Day!! Canada’s standing in the world can no longer be blamed on any party other than the Harper Conservatives!! Canada is a “Spent-Country” both socially and economically under Harper’s horrid leadership that has Canada still racing downward, while the U.S. and European nations have started a definite recovery!!

What should scare Canadians even more than our horrid economic results is this government's lack of respect for proper democratic principles and democratic rule.

Common thugs are allowed to breach election rules; when discovered, they simply keep a “Low Profile”for a few months then slowly reappear as the same buffoons that deserved some jail time for election fraud. Harper has proved he has a comfort level with Low-Type Canadians in politics!! Rather than leading his party to a respectable performance by example, Harper has lead the charge down the gutter by becoming charged with “contempt of Parliament” and losing $3.1 billion Canadian tax dollars.

I certainly wouldn’t suggest that $3.1 billion could be found in Harper’s back pocket, but would not count that location out - - until this huge amount can be located!!

Harper’s fondness for actions that would shock other politicians and his lack of respect for Canada’s democratic election system, must leave him as capable of deeds others would not attempt!! What would Diefenbaker think of his party could he see where it has migrated under Harper’s leadership?? Certainly Newfoundland’s Danny should be approached to start a PROGRESSIVE Conservative federal party, to stop the haemorrhage that awaits the Reform-Conservative movement under the shady Harper!!

OTTAWA — The Conservative party is sending email to some public servants at work promoting the government’s economic action plan and linking them to a website that asks which party they intend to vote for in the next election.

The Union of National Defence Employees has complained about the practice after one of its members received the political solicitation on their public service email account, while another received it at their home email account. The union is still trying to determine how many more such promotional messages have been sent to government emails.

Union president John MacLennan said he’s concerned that political parties are accessing the department’s email address system.

“If the situation had been reversed and this was a public servant accessing the government’s email addresses to contact other employees on behalf of a political party, then there would be severe consequences, up to and including dismissal,” he said.

MacLennan filed a complaint with Cynthia Binnington, the Defence Department’s assistant deputy minister for human resources on the civilian side.

He wants the issue to be investigated to determine how widespread this type of communication is within the department, as well as how staff from the Conservative party were able to access the employee’s email address in the first place.

The messages are from Dan Hilton, executive director of the Conservative Party of Canada.

They are specifically addressed to the individuals and note that, “The Conservative Party of Canada depends on the support and advice of Canadians like you — that’s why we’re reaching out this year with a series of online surveys.”

“We’ve accomplished a lot together in the past seven years since taking office — but our work isn’t finished yet,” the email adds.

Clearly, it's a ploy by the Tories to get your email addresses on their 'outreach' database. To sign the card, you must enter your name, email address and postal code.

The Democrats in the United States are doing the exact same thing: Click here to sign Michelle Obama's Mother's Day Card.

And the Tories did the same thing a couple of weeks ago asking Canadians to sign Harper's birthday card (by the way, it's not too late sign it).

This also might be an attempt by Tory strategists to highlight Harper's personal life — It's working for Justin Trudeau.
