Today, those rights are under widespread attack by MAGA, the far right, and their toxic influencers. Donald Trump has led relentless efforts to undermine women’s rights. Reproductive rights are under threat in state after state. Far right leaders claim women should remain in the home raising (white) babies.
The United States has cut millions in aid for women’s health initiatives, leaving women around the globe in an increasingly precarious position.
The hate is spilling over the border, with INCEL and misogyny becoming mainstream. The fascist playbook has always been driven by an attack on the rights of women.
The fight for women’s rights is the fight for democracy.
On this International Women’s Day, we must place the issues of women’s voices and women’s rights at the heart of the resistance to the gangsters."
