ANGUS: Silicon Valley Giants Finally Face the Music
ANGUS: Silicon Valley Giants Finally Face the Music
Charlie Angus / The Resistance - March 30, 2026
EXCERPT: "In the face of the latest ruling, one can expect Trump to go all in on protecting the toxic tech bro culture.
In fact, on the day that Facebook and Google were found guilty, Trump appointed Zuckerberg and Google board member Sergey Brin to his science and technology council.
But the New Mexico ruling won’t be so easy for Zuckerberg to blow off.
A state district court judge has the power to determine whether Meta created a public nuisance — and could impose restrictions and order the company to pay for programs that remedy potential harms to children.
Like in the big tobacco situation, other states are launching their own lawsuits.
Parents who have lost loved ones to suicide from online addictions are mobilizing.
And there is still a $150 billion lawsuit outstanding against the corporation for the damage done in Myanmar.
It may be too early to say, but perhaps the toxic tech bro empire is finally going to be held to some level of accountability. In a world that seems buried in disinformation, this is a good moment."
