Subject: Dangerous, unprecedented, seriously deficient
It’s time to repeal Harper’s Bill and protect our personal liberties.
Remember Bill C-51? Well, Stephen Harper may not be Prime Minister these days but his spy bill is still law.
Experts have called C-51 “dangerous” and have spoken up about ways the Bill could impact the constitutional rights of Canadians and the very health of our democracy. Canada’s Privacy Commissioner has even called C-51 “unprecedented” and “seriously deficient.”
Think that sounds serious? So do I. If you agree, add your name now to demand action on Bill C-51.
The Liberals promised to put an end to the politics of fear and division. That’s a promise I think we can all get on board with. But they still haven’t addressed the elephant in the room – Bill C-51 continues to threaten our open society with an atmosphere of fear and suspicion.
There’s nothing Canadian about that. It’s time to repeal Harper’s Bill and protect our personal liberties.
